One more anime mention
If you know anything about me, you know the pure unbridled hate I have for Gantz. I've never laid eyes on such a trash manga in my life. Apparently the anime is even worse. How? I'm not sure. In fact, if you like it, I'm sorry to say but there's something fundamentally wrong with you as a person. It's pure garbage! Gross fanservice garbage!!!!!
That said, the author's later work Inuyashiki is surprisingly heartfelt and good. It's still over the top and for adults with all the death and destruction, and not really for the faint of heart. But the MC is precious and I genuinely liked the anime.
I have SO many thoughts about OfA, the effects of his ideals and long life, and his similarities to Stain of all people. (Which is interesting in itself because Stain has a large following where AfO is a universal bad)
