PREMIER LEAGUE PRIMARY STARS
I recently had the great privilege of shooting 2nd Camera/2nd Unit for Barry Ackroyd, BSC (Jason Bourne, Hurt Locker, Captain Philips, The Big Short...) on a Premier League commercial campaign for agency Y&R, prod co. Gorgeous, dir. Vince Squibb, prod Ciska Faulkner.

The last time I worked for another DOP was briefly in 2007, so it isn’t often I get to learn something directly from another cameraman - let alone a legend like Barry, who also came up through documentaries, and through shooting Ken Loach films. It was great to see him working predominantly with available light on such a huge commercial, keeping things simple and with a fantastic instinct on knowing exactly where to put the camera.
