Random Tip of the Day: How to preview dyed items on the marketplace:
Ever wanted to preview items in the marketplace with your color scheme? Although you aren't able to truly select which slots the specific colors go into, this trick will give you a sense whether that vanity piece is actually worth buying. Now all of you, get on your knees and praise Adarya for bringing this nifty trick to my attention.
You will need:
Preferably clothes on dyed in the wanted color scheme. The preview trick will automatically inherit the existing dyes on your character.
If you want to make the most out of this trick, it'd be best if you had multiple colored pieces in different variants.
Steps:
Go to the marketplace and select the Crafting Materials tab. (If you haven't unlocked all equipment sets, uncheck the "Craftable" box.)
Search the item you would like to preview. But when doing so, just search up the general set term.
Preview any item that is not the one you actually want to preview. (This trick works best if this item is not the same armor piece as the one in question. For example: Previewing gloves when wanting to view a chestpiece.)
Hold down the preview key, and quickly press it again swapping to the armor piece you had wanted to originally preview.
Tips:
The timing for this can be quite tricky, but you need to be fast.
If you don't have gear on, the gear will default to 255/255/255.
The first random gear you previewed will remain gray whilst the equipment piece you wanted to see dyed will be dyed.
