the crash was bad. he couldn't stop replaying the moment in his head. evan spinning in the air before seemingly losing focus and plummeting straight into the snow. he knew it was something to worry about before anyone else. call it boyfriend intuition. he was so fucking worried, he stopped pretending in front of teddy. freaking out and running away from the crowd so he could get to evan's side. not that anyone let him. it's not until evan's resting in a hospital bed that he gets to touch him. barely, but it's something. teddy is around, so he can't do what he truly wants—find a spot not covered by a bandage and kiss him. vinnie reluctantly settles for taking permanent residence on the seat beside his bed, begging he'll wake up soon.

it was pretty foolish of vin to think teddy would never find out. he'd been so, so careful. always made sure to hand out at evan's, always made sure to act as if nothing had changed. because the rumors teddy loved to start had totally never become a reality. but he was unlucky. it's just the way it went for him sometimes. of course the one time he couldn't resist and leaned in to kiss evan at his own place, teddy happened to walk in right at the perfect moment. now, vinnie is a nervous wreck. he apologized profusely before sending evan home. vinnie stands before his twin, brows furrowed. he can feel the sweat collecting in the crease between them.
