After 10 years of doing #blackwatchfriday, I’ve been through many phases. When I first started this, I was very formal and wearing tailored menswear pieces much more frequently. (If you click the hashtag, you can see the previous years) That was because at the time, that is what fit my lifestyle—I worked in banking so I was wearing suits/sport coats, shirts and ties everyday. I also had no kids at that time. Being self employed for the last 5 years and now that I have two daughters, I usually only wear tailored clothing when I am meeting with clients or when I have closings. Most days, this is how I’m dressed—comfortable. These are clothes suitable for being my daughter’s learning partner in virtual school everyday, Starbucks runs, thrift store runs, picking up take out, running errands and most of all staying in my house which is what I do most right now. My style evolves with lifestyle-hence my ig handle.
