The beginning of everything
So we're holding this 1935A $2 bill and it hit us this is literally where Canadian paper money started. like, before this, it was all Dominion notes and provincial bank issues. this is THE first Bank of Canada series.
90 years old. still crisp enough to see every detail. the green ink, the Osborne-Towers signatures, the English-only text (before they made everything bilingual).
if you're into Canadian history or just think old money is cool, this is kind of the ultimate flex. "oh this? just canada's first $2 bill nbd"
