i'm officially a master's student now!!

somehow without meaning to, i've managed to choose three classes this semester that aren't related directly to each other, but all have something to do with prophecy, divination, and other types of foreknowledge. one of my presentations will have to do with hildegard of bingen, another with margery kempe, and for my written assignment later this semester, i'll try to focus on julian of norwich. i'm looking forward to that!

i also got to visit liverpool this month, though i didn't quite manage to find the stained glass window that shows julian of norwich. i suppose i'll just have to come again some time!

looking forward to: lots of things !! getting the wireless earphones i ordered so i can be like the cool kids and not have wires get tangled with everything 😎, watching the plants on my balcony grow, making the apartment i recently moved into finally cosy, and of course most of all i'm looking forward to my dearest visiting soon again 💕

Currently working on: i've finally started writing fanfiction a tiny bit again!! it's going so slow, i haven't written anything in about two years now, or even more than that. so even a little over 1000 words feels like a big achievement for me! currently i'm writing a little historical TES AU, intended as a 1-2 chapter type of thing.

honestly not to be too personal on main but the feeling of shame and guilt for losing years upon years to depression is kind of insane. i had the thought of resurrecting my old stud/yblr blog now that i'm actively back in uni, working with fun tools and flashcards and back at learning languages and what have you, just so that i'd have a place to collect all the useful posts that i find on here. but like .... seeing how many years ago my last post was on that blog, where i was like, actively studying and working on assignments before i had my depression/anxiety-induced "break" (and i remember even then i was struggling hard) ......... i just felt very dizzy lmao

and yes i know fully well that i'd never for one moment judge anyone else for having gone through what i did, even if the years they lost were twice or three times as many or whatever, but. eugh. so many years

i'm progressively getting better at not beating myself up for it (it's not like that got me anywhere anyways) but ... it is very slow progress
