So next to my turntable I keep a little book that I write down every album as I listen to it. This is a habit carried over from my very early teens when I would keep a little pad next to the radio to write names of songs I heard and wanted to know more about. In this case, I'm recording my listening habits as to how much I listen to vinyl versus other media...and I keep an electronic record of each album, and how many plays of each, in my Discogs. So far this year I have listened to 84 different albums...and played 99 albums through in their entirety. And we are 55 days into the year...so that's approaching two albums a day that I'm playing on average. And it's no surprise that The Cure, The Grateful Dead and New Order have the most listens. The Cure alone account for 6 albums and 9 full album plays. And I've listened to Narrow Stairs by Death Cab For Cutie 3 times since I got it at the end of January. So this is how I nerd out. You should show me how you do.
