It was evident that the ambiance around him was beautiful, even as he laid there, sleeping peacefully. He could hear the cries of Hoothoot and Pidgey coming from areas close by, and the aroma and soft wave the close-by sea gave the land. It was peaceful.
Good Arceus, it’d been a long time since anything was peaceful.
Truth be told, Ethan’d like to savor this moment forever- however, as beautiful as this moment was, the (bright) sun rolled slowly into his eyes.
Why did the ambiance sound like nature anyway? He shrugged it off; maybe he’d put on the wrong meditation tape and was too tired to notice.
His eyes creaked open, blinking a few times to get the sleep out of them. What time exactly was it?
Wait. Where exactly was he? It was green- overwhelmingly green. The more his eyes focused, the more was revealed to him that this was not his bed, and in fact, a patch of grass- tall grass. A Rattata had fallen asleep in the tufted soil next to him, and his sleeping clothes had gotten mildly soiled.
This better not be Will playing tricks on me again...
Ethan groaned, turning from his side to his back before hoisting himself up, checking his pockets and beltline. He sighed in relief; at least he still had his pokéballs, pokégear, and ID with him.
« What’s the time... » he muttered to himself, pulling out his pokégear and turning it on with a simple tap to the screen. Huh. There was a blinking "NO SERVICE" at the top left, but at least he knew the time. 10:43 AM.
He stretched a little, putting away his Pokégear, starting to become a little more aware of his surroundings. He sighed- well, he was very visibly nowhere close to the League or Goldenrod. It looked more like... he raised an eyebrow, recalling from his journey.
Isn’t that... « New Bark Town? » he muttered again, looking down the route.
Ethan sighed. « Well... I might as well surf back to the League. I’ve been meaning to visit that one Ace Trainer again. »
Little did he know, the least of his worries would be getting back to the League.
