       stella’s heard the whisperings. SHE’S NOT DEAF. or an idiot. but she’s had enough intrigue to last her for the foreseeable future, so she’s content to ignore them. that is, of course, until the universe decides it isn’t. she gets into work ( even though her superiors are INSISTENT she doesn’t have to be back so soon. she needs something to keep her mind busy ) and she’s just standing there at her desk. stella watches before she says anything. she’ll admit, THE RESEMBLANCE IS UNCANNY, but that doesn’t explain why the noted doctor is seeking her out. curiosity, perhaps ? the same as her ? or something DEEPER ?

       ❝ you must be the american psychiatrist i’ve heard SO MUCH about. doctor...dumaurier, was it ? ❞ she crosses to her desk, the folder in her hands being placed down on it as stella settles into the chair. ❝ what can i do for you, DOCTOR ? ❞
