Physically restraining a child and yelling in their face to calm down isn’t calming.

Physically restraining an angry child only serves to make them angrier.

The adults in a family need to be the bastions of order, calmness, and rationality.

I totally understand the mom, because there are smaller children in the house who are being abused by their brother. However, it isn’t getting better the way it’s going. Mom and other kids maybe need to live there, and let dad and ADHD son live separately if they can’t get him into an intensive treatment program and the family get counselling.

I really feel for the younger brothers, who are just casualties in this whole drama.
