While lost in my thoughts, I feel someone staring at me. "Can I help you?" I ask, trying not to look up. V: "No, just observing." A: "You do that to everybody? It seems kinda...invasive." V: "Oh no, not everybody, just you." A: "Why?" V: "You looked interesting." Is that supposed to be an insult or a compliment? Whatever it is, it's a weird way of breaking the ice. V: "I'm Violet, in case you wanted to know." A: "I didn't, but thanks, I'll know who to put down in the report for stalking." V: "They'll be looking for you first." I look up at her and freeze at her comment.
