I have a lot of lines I love in ‘Supernova’, but this is a more recent one (well, two, but who’s counting?): “But the other half was enraged, bitter from wounds new and old being cut open wide and having salt dumped all over them. And the latter half was stronger.”

oh don’t worry, I’m always counting how many lines people send in 😅Supernova is such a cool WIP title, and it seems like this MC might be about to go a little supernova to boot! I love the addition of ‘And the latter half was stronger.’, it’s such an ominous clause filled with so much foreshadowing--I can’t wait to see this character lose their patience and go a little (or a lot) apeshit!

Hey! Sorry for the random ask, but I kind of need some advice and you were the first person that came to mind haha. How do you stay motivated to keep updating content for Tumblr and such? I love this community, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes I feel unseen. It’s probably just my anxiety though lol

No need for apologies! ♥ I like helping!

Anxiety is rude and sometimes tries to convince us that we’re not good enough or that we’re being ignored! Just this morning, I had a little bit of a crisis over my WIP, so I know exactly how it is.

I think I kind of cheat when it comes to having a writeblr. This blog is my personal blog and writing blog wrapped up into one. Most of the pictures and videos I rb have something to do with story concepts, things that inspire me or stuff involving the LGBTQ+ (and other communities I’m in). 

Here are some things that help me (and others!) get involved with the Writeblr community:

-Reblog people’s work! This one is simple. Reblogging, liking and/or commenting on writer’s projects is a great way to interact with other members of the writeblr community.

-Tag your WIP posts properly! Here’s a link to a post by @pens-swords-stuff​ that is incredibly useful and helped me a lot starting out.

-Ask Games: this includes Storyteller Saturday. It’s helpful because it gets you talking to other writers and encourages them to reach out to you, too! Plus it’s fun to gush over each other’s projects and OCs. My personal rule for ask games is if you reblog one, send the person you reblogged it from an ask! Even anonymously helps.

-Tag Games: like ask games, this is your chance to talk about your WIP and OCs! A lot of writeblr’s will tag some people they know but also add “and anyone else who wants to do this” at the end of their posts. Don’t be afraid to do it, even if you weren’t tagged! Sometimes you have to take a plunge and tag others in your tag game posts - just be aware some people might ask you not to tag them because they’re on hiatus or not currently doing them.

-Taglists: I keep a taglist on a google doc! If someone is interested in your WIP and ask to be on a taglist, you can add their name to the list and copy/paste the list at the end of your posts. Also, you’re interested in someone’s WIP don’t be afraid to ask to put on theirs! It’ss always a nice feeling when someone wants to learn more about your project.
