Hello.

Hi there. So, here’s my first blog post. I never know how to start these things. So, I’ll make this short and sweet. My name is Violet, I’m 24 years old, I work in the public library system, and I love books. (Not a huge surprise there). 

I want to go back to school to get my M.L.I.S. degree someday, but for now I’m content with the work I do in my library. 

I made this blog in order to document my 2016 reading project. In order to become better acquainted with Juvenile Fiction literature, I am going to read all of the Newbery Medal winners, counting down from 2015 all the way down to 1922, when the first medal was awarded. This is a total 93 books.

I will post a picture of the title of each book I read, and write a short review of it. All of these reviews will be under the tag #newberyproject and I will also create a page linking you to all of the posts relating to this tag. Similarly, all of the posts will be tagged also with the individual title and author, as well as any other distinguishing features (genre, topic, theme). 

I hope you enjoy this as much as I do! I’m excited to get started.
