Astronomy - Violetripple Animatic

This one is rapidly getting on in years but I still like some of the frames (others.. not so much *shudders*) and the general storyboard I had for it, so here it is!

Merry Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, and/or Happy Holidays everybody!

Lets just pretend I shared this on the 3rd of December because particularly emo Violetripple animatic day lol (I posted one on the third bc haha funny the day from Heather and then made it an inside joke to myself to make Violetripple angst in December)

Anyway YIPPEEEE I made a thing and finished it! That doesn't happen everyday X3 And I mananged to make a good chunk of this with a trackpad too (somehow)! (my drawing pad was broken)

So more lore and lil backstory tidbits for Violetripple and her universe! A little summary/explanation of stuff: Violetripple (the one with deep blue eyes) has liked/did like Darkwater (bean shaped hair poof + orange eyes) for a long while now, and she really just tryna figure out where her feelings are at now. They used to sort of be friends, but as everyone got older and several (including Violetripple and Darkwater) gain elemental powers, some of them change quite a bit. Though she appreciates all the wonderful memories she has made with him, people (or werewolves ig technically lol) change, and she has to accept it's part of growing up. So now she has decided to try and let Darkwater go, and give others in her life a chance. Part of what leads to this decision was a misunderstanding during the big battle against Tyler (red and green eyes), where Darkwater sees his friend Eagle (slightly darker orange eyes, in Tyler's tribe but not actually evil) about to be attacked by Violetripple's sister Snowpelt (ice/light blue eyes). He jumps in to save his buddy and scares Snowpelt away, when Violetripple appears shortly after. He assumes she is after Eagle as well (the first thing she does is question about him to be fair) and he gets angry. In order to protect Eagle, Darkwater (temporarily) sets the clearing on fire and scares Violet off as well, leaving her very confused and rather hurt. So yeah, a tad emo, I warned you lol. Some other characters featured here are Wolfjaw (darker green eyes) Firefly (green and gold eyes) Kindlesplash (orange eyes and longer hair poof)

Strawberry Blond - Violetripple Animatic

This one has been in my folder for a long time but I never actually shared it. Btw towards the end the blue I used for Violetripple just did not mesh well with the background apparently, so it looks weird and graining when I recorded it, sorry about that.

and yes they all have warrior cats names but they're supposed to be (were)wolves lol I just really liked the warrior cats name system when I first made these little guys so they sound like the battle kitties

I've been on and off working on this since.. Nov. 2021? and finished it around that time of year 2023. Just drew bits of it whenever I had the motivation for it, y'know. Then I actually could not stand the very last panel so I redid it today in 2026. Some of the first panels were so old at one point 2022 me couldn't bear to leave them that way and gave them a glow up half way through haha. Though some of the older art really makes me cringe, I like how the evolution of my art style kinda adds to the illusion of the characters growing up as the animation continues (which they are) and how I have as well <3

Never love an Anchor - Animatic

(shh it's totally still April idk what you're talking about-)

Helloo-! Here's a little animatic that I've been working on. It's the Violetripple characters (future me here: some of my OCs) but their people forms bc those exist and I haven't done that justice oops- (future me again: they're usually ferals/wolves) plus I've gotten alot better at people and I feel like I haven't posted anything with people in it so hey, now I've done that! (aren't they cool?! /silly) I speedran the last two panels and there's some style inconsistency but whatever lol.

Also pardon my mediocre handwriting and the cursive that I haven't done in the way I'm probably supposed to since I learned it a billion years ago haha..

Guys this doesn't feel like Violetripple anymore- /halfj
