Just a little appreciation round-up of nearly all the art @violetsyrenart has done for our D&D campaign “The season of strife” this past year. What a rainbow!
To celebrate the new year, here are all 10 illustrations the great @violetsyrenart did for our D&D campaign, the Season of Strife, a veritable cornucopia of color and I cannot wait to see what we'll get in 2022! Featuring everyone's favorite air genasi rogue Zeda @cranesofibycus
Another illustration for our D&D campaign courtesy of @violetsyrenart, of our eladrin ranger having a romantic ride through the Feywild with... uhm... a major campaign villain. The brief was "make it look like a cheesy romance novel" and I think they succeeded
Here's a whole bunch more @violetsyrenart did for our campaign!
Ding dong it's art o' clock again! @violetsyrenart did a wonderful rendition of a key location in my D&D campaign 'the season of strife'. A mysterious sylvan tree, brimming with fey energy, in a great subterranean cavern with bridges leading to four doors, decorated with mosaics of a knight of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Check here for a compilation of other art she's done for the campaign, and here and here for two more, and check her out on twitter
I just realized I hadn't uploaded this one yet! @violetsyrenart made an awesome illustration of the D&D party chasing a mysterious hooded figure across the rooftops of Sadadarn. And this used to be such a nice neighbourhood!
Check here for a compilation of other art she's done for the campaign, and here, here and here for three more (I should probably post a new compilation with all 9 pieces thusfar) and check her out on twitter!
@violetsyrenart did this absolutely beautiful piece of artwork for our D&D campaign The Season of Strife, and they’ve been a joy to work with. Depicted is the moment our party rogue awakened her Tempest Blades (a reflavored version of the Soul Knife subclass). From our session summary:
“Zeda left the window open, and went to bed. At some point during the night she awoke, startled by a bad dream. She shot awake and instinctively flung a dagger at the half-remembered shadows from her nightmare. But she had no dagger near her… instead she threw her hand and a burst of wind and lightning apparated from her hand and impacted the wall on the other side, leaving a small scorch mark on the wood. A faint bit of lightning flashed between her fingers, and traced across her scars. She sat there for a little while, the room being thrown into sharp contrast by the light of the thunder outside. Zeda breathed, and laughed to herself, “I knew this wasn’t over”, before going back to sleep.“
@violetsyrenart did yet another beautiful piece of artwork for our D&D campaign The Season of Strife (the previous one is here). The colors, the vibrancy, it’s so pretty I keep pinching myself! Depicted is a moment from our campaign, when the eladrin ranger Tófa - who had been stuck in winter season due to grief - touched a mysterious glowing tree growing in an underground ruin, and spontaneously turned to spring! From our session summary:
They headed into the cavern and approached the tree, which was about 30 feet tall. Clusters of crystal grew around its base, and all the veins around the room converged at the foot of the tree. Tófa reached forward to touch it, and where she touched it a faint ripple of energy travelled outwards, across the trunk, as if she had disturbed the surface of still water. She retracted her hand. She felt weird, odd, she felt something she hadn’t felt in quite a long time. The others watched as her appearance changed – the color of her hair turned cherry blossom pink, her skin color changed into a faintly green and olive tone. Tófa felt… cheerful, celebratory, joyful! Tófa’s demeanour changed dramatically. She’d changed seasons! After being stuck in winter season for months. If the tree could do this to her, she was certain it was the World Tree!
