Ugh no one tells you how much easier it is to play the piano if you don’t have little hands. I don’t even think my hands are that little, but my wrists are so mad at me now, lol. All these big handed composers out there with their big hand agenda…
Also, and I mean this sincerely from my the bottom of my heart, fuck the bass clef.
I spent twelve fucking years just needing to know treble clef. I am trying hard to learn bass clef now but my brain just sees any notes regardless of the clef and is just like “Ah, yes, here is the note in treble clef. You’re welcome! :)”
And then my brain is just like “Wait, no, drop everything down by two notes and that’s bass clef!”
Which, yes, fantastic! Problem is that is not the speediest of methods… T^T
I’m def way better at piano than I was. I’ve been taking it for about 7ish months now and I’m already on book two of piano for adults and my teacher has given me an “advanced beginner” piece he wants me to work on more long term and to memorize. That I can now slowly muddle my way through with both hands!
But I s2g violin is so much easier. T^^^T One clef. One hand doing the fingerings, the other just moving the bow. Even stuff like jumping from 1st to 3rd and all is pretty straight forward. And 9 times out of 10 you play the notes the same way every time. None of this “Oh, you played that with your third finger last time and now you have to play it with your first and now a completely different one!”
ILLEGAL. STRAIGHT TO JAIL. ROT AND THINK ABOUT YOUR CRIMES FOR ALL ETERNITY! AND TAKE THE BASS CLEF WITH YOU!
