For the asker who was having issues with their vibrato shaking the violin too badly, it sounds like maybe your hand is too tight, or your hand is still touching the neck while you vibrate. My suggestion is to loosen your thumb and be certain your hand is loose, and be certain that your base knuckle (first or second knuckle on your index finger) isn't quite touching the neck when you vibrate. Vibrating with only one finger down at a time helps too. might wanna talk to a teacher, though.

One time an RA at my school was driving a van run to the store and was really tired and accidentally turned into a two-lane one-way street, and didn't realize until we saw a car coming and he tried to do a u-turn but the van was too long, so it took like three tries, and the emergency flasher button wasn't on the dash so i could push it and he couldn't find it and it took us like 3 minutes to get turned around and basically we nearly died, and he was like "could we just not mention that?"
