I missed it but here’s something anyway: in the end the best thing you can do is make it clear that you’re there for her and you are willing to try to give unbiased advice if she wants it (note: try) or just listen if she needs an ear. Also hour or 2 long car trips are great for talking because there’s nothing to do and no one can escape.

thank you. that’s true. absolutely true. 

i’m just.. torn between doing this, and something more because what if something bad happens, and as a big sister and an adult it was in my power all along to prevent it? i just want her to be happy and safe, but what if i’m not doing enough to keep her happy and safe :(

Sadly, I don’t think there’s a blacklist option for AO3, which is where this problem is most prevalent. It’s just so rude! I don’t go shoving my spitfire into their tags, clogging up their space, raising their hopes in vain. Why do they keep doing it to me?!! LITERALLY NO ONE IS SEARCHING SPECIFICALLY FOR “PAST SPITFIRE” STOP USING THAT IN YOUR TAGS
