With people not knowing the truth behind Wesker actually still being alive, Randi has to take the reigns into playing a more active antagonist role than ever before, even if it is behind the scenes, working in the shadows, and is essentially speaking on his behalf like the faithful priestess she is.

Meanwhile, Wesker takes a backseat for the time being, only rising up when the perfect moment strikes for him, as for now, he simply allows his priestess to do all the dirty work for him, which even then, Randi does her best to keep her hands clean from potential conflict, should the truth be eventually found out that he is still alive.

In RE4, that was when Randi encountered Wesker, as she was beginning her start in Tricell, working alongside Excella. From there, she would work on perfecting Las Plagas from the samples she was later given.

In Revelations 2, Randi contacted Alex. To keep Albert's secretly alive status concealed, Randi lied to Alex that he is dead, but helped her with spreading Uroboros in compensation, since Randi happened to have a sample in her secret lab.

Since Randi is manipulative, she deliberately set up Alex for failure, instilling false hope in her that she could carry on the torch into world domination as a Wesker. To Randi, there is no goddess, as only Albert is worthy of conquering the world, evolving the foundations of humanity as people know it.

Wesker: "Randi, I spotted that wretched Chris Redfield at a Waffle House parking lot, and fought him inside the building. I came out unscathed, so don't worry about me.

Then I borrowed your debit card while you weren't looking, to buy all of the hair gel I could fit in a single cart. 😎"

Randi: "Albert, if your virtues are considered to be 'sins' by the lesser humans, then consider me an outlier among those pests."

Wesker: "Dearheart, you are above everyone else. You've ascended among my ranks."

Randi: "I'm the only one who loves your 'sins'."

Wesker is only playing along with Randi's fantasies, solely because of the fact that he can keep her on his side this way.

Randi is mutually manipulating Wesker in return, by feeding into his own fantasies. 😈

TLDR;

ViralEden is about mutual manipulation as a means of getting onto eachother's good sides for as long as possible.

Doesn't mean they don't truly love one another tho. They just evil. Whehehe.
