okokokok alrightalrightalrightalright I’m p. Sure Virgil canonically has a son in the Static universe (thanks Batman Beyond crossover) so i’m giving them 2 so i can flesh one out then make one up
First the one to flesh out
Name: Louis Cheng Hawkins (Pronounced Loo-Wis by Virgil and Loo-Wee by Marinette, even he doesn’t know which way it technically should be) He prefers just Lou to avoid confusion
Gender: Male
General Appearance: dark skin, a bit paler than his father but not by much, other than coloration seems to be a male version of his maternal grandmother, dark brown straight hair thick and curly, shorn close to his head in a fade.
Personality: A bit quiet, but hardly shy, He’s friendly and kind. He can get a bit too wrapped up in his work and projects, oftentimes ignoring people around him or even taking care of himself. Smart kid, has a real passion in engineering.
Special Talents: Is currently wielding the dragon Miraculous, his lightning form is slightly more powerful than his wind or water forms, boostered by a very weak copy of his father’s mutation. By that vein he has a very watered down form of electrokinesis, nowhere NEAR his father’s level on its own.
Who they like better: He’s a mama’s boy. He’s an unofficial model for Lucky Charm Designs because he wears every goddamn outfit prototype he can get his hands on
Who they take after more: Somehow??? Richie???? He and Richie are like two peas in a pod and no one is sure how this happened.
Personal Head canon: He’s actually not too jazzed to be a hero and do hero work. He keeps the dragon Miraculous in case there’s trouble, but he’s not actually very excited about it. When Mom fights sure, things are generally okay in the end due to the Miraculous Ladybug, but when Dad comes home from solo runs he’s always riddled in injuries, even if they’re just small ones. He knows both of his parents love fighting the good fight and being heroes, but some part of him will forever wish their family could have been normal.

And now for the one i can make up
Name: Jean Dupain Hawkins
Gender: NB, They/them
General Appearance: Approx. Virgil’s skintone, textured ebony hair most often kept back in braids, they mostly take after Virgil’s side of the family, but has their mother’s light brown eyes (Marinette will not have blue eyes if i can help it) and body type, a bit on the petite side with lean muscle beneath an otherwise a bit lanky form. Mostly seen in basic or simple clothes for gender ambiguity.
Personality: They seem to have absorbed all the loud from off of their brothers more demure form, because this kid can TALK. Anything and everything under the sun is open game when they get yammering. Likely suffer from ADHD they hyperfixate a lot of the time and can be a bit annoying to the less than patient people in the world. By that vein, despite being a friendly person they’re oftentimes alone, and don’t really have any friends that aren’t extended family or ‘our parents would die for eachother so we might as well be friends’ Likes photography, but for the most part is still figuring themself out.
Special Talents: Inherited more of their father’s mutation than their brother did. Still not as POWERFUL as their father, but nothing to sneeze at. They jokingly claim to be the next in line for the Ladybug Miraculous when Mom finally retires. Currently is in possession of the Ox Miraculous, just in case.
Who they like better: Dad, they snuck along on SO MANY Justice League meetups when they were a kid they were practically taken in by the Teen Titans the second they started getting more of a grips on their power.
Who they take after more: Marinette, definitely. they’re like weird twinsies when they both get jazzed about the same thing. Virgil thinks this is absolutely adorable when it happens.
Personal Head canon: Both kids grew up hearing stories about their parents earlier adventures, things they held dear, but Jean was always enraptured by their father’s stories the best. Especially the one where he went back in time and met his mother before she’d died. He only told that story once or twice over their lifetimes, and after trying to glean more stories out of their grandfather, Jean decided that their paternal grandmother was their role model. Hence their chosen name. Virgil plays it cool during this announcement, Marinette cries over having such a sweet kid; Then that night after the kids have gone to bed it’s the other way around.
