GLIMPSING SPRING, virginia bryant
This is part of the YIN BRUSH, SLIPPING GLIMPSER series. Among the first of a return to more generous size after a couple years of doing smaller work. This painting is shipped ready to hang on heavy duty stretcher bars. Adding a gilded strip frame is recommended.

#2886 This work is no longer available., virginia bryant
One of a series smaller experimental works on paper with acrylics, pencil and inks, executed as automatic writing, and sprayed with a UV varnish, these are enhanced monoprints. and are framed in plexi rather than glass for shipping. The work measures 11"x14" and is framed in a very pale wooden frame that extends 3/4" from the art work.

SUMMER 2013, virginia bryant
This painting was executed in Florida at the start of the the "slipping glimpser-yin brush" series, which may be named a more feminized take on abstract expressionism As a former dancer, i am most inspired by musical structures and natural surroundings. The main focus of these works are to flow and dance with the movement of the paint as it is pushed and pulled onto the surface. These works are more "automatic painting" than drawing, which the liquidity of the medium keeps unpredictable and interesting. i am told that these works are good aids to contemplation, and i am content that these works should serve this purpose.
