(we have "not" tried this service yet, we're just bringing up the idea for discussion and comments)
In another example of technology trying to replace humans we find the virtual doorman in New York City. I'd say though this product was created more out of a real need than an indulgence. Doormen buildings are not a dime a dozen in the city while the need for the benefits and security of a doorman are often needed. Check out this video on virtual doormen, what do you think?
