if you, like me, are a visenya/rhaenys truther then there is an argument to be made for shades of them in baelor and maekar, just with the birth order reversed. baelor is the warm one with a mind for politics and rulership like rhaenys and maekar is the hard, stern, unfun one like visenya. i believe in my heart that visenya never forgave aegon or herself for rhaenys's death and maekar never forgave aerion or himself for baelor's death. rhaenys and visenya fought side by side to conquer westeros, even though the glory goes to aegon – baelor and maekar were the hammer and the anvil in the blackfyre rebellion, even though the actual infamy of the "ending" of that war goes to bloodraven. you get it
