After three years, this artists book is finally finished and we couldn't be happier to share it with you! Visible Climate: Postcards from America's Changing Landscapes is a collaborative, interdisciplinary artists book created by Lee Lines @el_bosque_nublado and myself. Our goal was to create an interactive work which is both educational and very personal-- addressing the impacts that climate change is having on America's the unique ecosystems of the national parks. Lee spent over 175 hours in the field, photographing the burnt-out forests, dry river beds, and receding glaciers--all impacts from climate change on these beloved landscapes. I then translated his photos into hand-colored prints, and we added captions in Lee's handwriting to express the personal sense of loss and concern that many visitors feel when they see this ongoing damage to our treasured national parks.
