GENEVA 2014: Skoda VisionC
VisionC the concept that foreshadows a future four-door coupe, appears in its entirety a few days before its official presentation in Geneva...
In Geneva in 2011, unveiled the Skoda Vision D concept whose aesthetic inspired the new Octavia and Rapid. The manufacturer continues its stylistic evolution and announces his future in Geneva with VisionC.
Presented in Geneva in a few days, this study adopts a novel 5-door coupe body, despite its silhouette three distinct volumes, the car will be in effect with a hatch, as is the case sedan Rapid, Octavia and Superb. Škoda takes no commitments on the implementation of this concept in series but our colleagues Autocar is in 2016 that the brand would launch a model derived from the VisionC, which seems quite credible considering the fate previous concepts .
Compared to current production Škoda, the VisionC is much more angular, particularly at optical who become almost triangular. The fold of the body trunk is particularly marked, giving a rather special appearance at the stern. Škoda ensures that the new design is "expressive, dynamic and moving." Everyone will be his opinion.
The VisionC, as Octavia, based on the MQB modular platform. The operator is assigned to a 1.4 TSI 110 hp fuel both on petrol or natural gas, and that CO2 emissions do not exceed 91 g/km (showing opportunely its ability to meet the European standard requiring average emissions of 95 g/km from 2020). This engine is not unique since it is one of the g-tron Audi A3 will be sold this year.
