It Can't Rain All The Time || Jubilee and Vision
Even with the Fortier win and all kinds of legal battles having been won for mutants it wasn't easy for people like her in this country. There was a lot of "I'm fine with it as long as they act human in public" and "I'm not genophobic, but I don't think I could date a mutant." There were also larger acts of hate, like the clinic being bombed and closed as a public nuisance for the foreseeable future. Still, Jubilee usually managed to have more good days than bad, today just happened to be one of the bad ones. She kicked at the ground, swinging her feet as she sat on a stone bench and watched the water come down the glass walls of the conservatory in waves. She should be at the clinic, instead she had finished with classes and come to the botanical gardens in the hope of distracting herself from...everything. She sighed and rested her chin in her hand, wishing she had a middle name she could go by on days like this, cause Jubilation wasn't cutting it.
