Spectacular photo from @olvr_wm . . - Two days ago we had the chance to #visitandexplore another #beautifulcastle with our kids and a friend of our son - the #schlosslichtenstein #lichtensteincastle At first this was a medieval castle 🏰 which was destroyed in the swabian urban war at 1381. Than there was built a forester‘s house on top of the old ruin. In 1837 Wilhelm Graf von Württemberg (the later Herzog von Urach) bought the ruin with the forester‘s home. To built his own version of a Castle mentioned in Wilhelm Hauffs book ‚Lichtenstein‘ which he was a huge fan of.
