Asakusa Sensoji Temple This Buddhist temple was completed in the year 645 making it Tokyo’s oldest temple. You enter through the outer gate Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), the symbol of Asakusa and the entire city of Tokyo. A shopping street where you can buy souvenirs leads from the outer gate to the temple’s second gate, the Hozomon, before you reach the temple itself. Many festivals take place at Sensoji Temple throughout the year. The last photo depicts one of the dragon kings who protects Buddhist law. Dragons are one of my favorite animals! :D #VisitingJapan #VisitingTokyo #LanguageCoach #LearnJapaneseOnline #MultilingualActress #Actress #DiscoverTheWorldDiscoverYourself #Asakusa #Sensoji #Temple #BuddhistTemple (at Sensoji Temple, Asakusa) https://www.instagram.com/celineeckwright/p/Bw7EVQhgc6j/?igshid=rlvetgrswhjo
