Where's the Best Hoagie in Philly? In honor of National Sandwich Day on Thursday, Philadelphians rejoiced the only way they know how: eating hoagies. While the cheese steaks often gets much of the love, it's the hoagie that's getting the attention now. The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. (GPTMC) is in the midst of a "major campaign that includes an online "hoagie finder" with maps listing 38 shops, from popular purveyors to obscure outposts," reports Philly.com.
In addition, there was a hoagie-themed-tailgate competition at Sunday night's Cowboys versus Eagles game and other events Thursday to celebrate the sandwich.
So it got us to wondering: where do you get your hoagie? There's the always reliable Wawa, but there are many specialty shops. Leave your recommendations in the comments below and we'll compile the results.
