Jazz secretly doesn't like his optics. It's one of the reasons he keeps his visor on all the time is because when he was a little mech in his younger days, other bots made fun of him for having such plain and uninteresting optics. Keeping his visor on helped him make friends better because everyone thought he had the coolest visor ever.
