Sara Bennett
(born approximately 1978) Visual special effects artist
Sara Bennett is the first woman to receive an Academy Award for visual special effects—as visual effects supervisor for Ex Machina in 2015. She worked as a supervisor, compositor, or 2D effects artist on many other very successful projects including Doctor Who, four of the Harry Potter films, The Martian, Sherlock, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Assassin’s Creed and dozens more.
