CLANNAD Launches on the Playstation Store in North America for the Playstation 4

CLANNAD is now on sale on the Playstation Store in North America for the Playstation 4. The game is a port of the original PC version, which was released in English during 2015.

The Playstation 4 release in North America is available only in digital format, and includes in-game options to switch between English and Japanese text. Those who wish to own a physical copy of the Playstation 4 version will have to import a copy through Japanese online retailers.

Synopsis:

After the death of his mother, Tomoya Okazaki—a guarded delinquent student at Hikarizaka High School—struggles to not only make sense of the abusive relationship he has with his alcoholic father, but also find meaning in his life. While on his way to class one morning, he meets a mystifying girl named Nagisa. She is a delinquent like him, but only because she is repeating her senior year, unlike the perpetually tardy Okazaki. From their brief encounter, Nagisa decides they should be friends, and enlists Tomoya's help to revive the school drama club. Not being busy in any way, he decides to join in. Along the way, the two make friends with many other students and try to find both solace and belonging in their endeavors.

Pre-orders for Nendoroid figures of CLANNAD’s Nagisa Furukawa are now open through select retailers! The figure costs $45.99.

Those who pre-order their Nagisa Nendoroid through Good Smile’s online store will receive bonus pink and yellow dango family add-ons with their order.

Pre-orders will close on March 1, 2018. The Nendoroid is planned to ship during June 2018.

Riki Naoe lost his parents as a child, and fell deep into despair. He was saved by a group of kids who called themselves the Little Busters: Kyousuke Natsume, Masato Inohara, Kengo Miyazawa, and Rin Natsume. They took him and played at being heroes who fought tireless evil around them.

Riki discovered endless joy in spending time with his new friends, even though the group was silly and their missions tended to end in failure. Over time, it washed away his loneliness and suffering. Years later, the whole gang was attending the same school, and Riki became a second-year.

They were still as silly as ever and spent their youth following Kyousuke's silly ideas.

Little Busters! Heads to the West on November 1st

During Tokyo Game Show 2017 convention that took place earlier this week, VisualArts confirmed they will launch Little Busters! for Windows this coming November 1st.

The game will be available on Steam for $34.99, and will include the following features:

An option to switch between English and Japanese text.

Touch screen support

1280 x 720 screen resolution support

The new addition of the “Busterpedia,” an English version-exclusive encylopedia which explains Japanese cultural references to western players.

VisualArts Launches Crowdfunding Campaign for Little Busters! Spin-Off Movie Kud Wafter

Yesterday, VisualArts launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund the English subtitle localization and distribution of the Kud Wafter movie on Tokyo Otaku Mode. Kud Wafter is an animated movie adaptation of the Little Busters! spin-off visual novel, Kud Wafter.

The movie will be animated by J.C. Staff, a Japanese anime studio known for producing the Little Busters!, Little Busters! Refrain, and Little Busters! EX anime adaptations.

The campaign will end on December 14th.

VisualArts/Key Announces Anime Adaptation of Kud Wafter

VisualArts/Key, the developer of CLANNAD and many other popular titles, announced Kud Wafter will receive an anime adaptation. J.C. Staff, the animation studio that produced the Little Busters! anime, will be responsible for producing the show.

A crowdfunding campaign to fund the anime’s production will be launched on Campfire for only Japanese fans. VisualArts stated they are “currently evaluating [their] options“ for a crowdfunding campaign available to overseas fans.

Kud Wafter was originally released as a spin-off visual novel of Little Busters! in 2010. The story revolves around Riki Naoe and Kudryavka “Kud” Noumi where Riki moves in with Kud after an accident that floods the boys’ dormitory.

Little Busters! on Steam Greenlight

Heads up to Key fans that VisualArts/Key recently launched Little Busters! on Steam Greenlight! Little Busters! is estimated to come out later this year.

Little Busters! is a visual novel developed by Key that was initially released in Japan on July 27, 2007. The English version is an updated release of the all-ages Little Busters! Perfect Edition, which adds the following content to the game:

New character routes from the 18+ Little Busters! Ecstasy release without the sexual content. These routes feature the following characters: Kanata Futaki, Sasami Sasasegawa, Saya Tokido.

HD resolution support previously not found in previous Japanese releases of Little Busters!.

An option to switch between English and Japanese text.
