Attending high school on Earth as a member of Three Lights had been nothing short of difficult for Yaten: constant harassment from fans, paparazzi waiting outside of the building when the bell rang. Attending university had held the promise of schedules that were more difficult for outsiders to ascertain, and a wider student population that would make it far easier to blend in. Or not.

Compared to the one from which the ghost had spawned and it’s companion, Kunzite, the others were dim and no longer hummed with energy. He knew this day would come, when their ethereal forms would cease to hold to the gemstones. Mamoru smiled gently, weakly, avoiding Nephrite’s gaze. 

“I know... You four will always be a part of me. I’ll never forget what you’ve taught me in this life or the last.” 

Sapphire eyes met with the ghostly gaze of his friend. 

“One day, I’ll find a way to bring you all back. Not to be my guardians, but my friends. I want us all to live our lives happily and without always having to worry about evil threatening our peace.”

Kidding? How dare he! Nephrite was the one that had started this anyhow! There is a rather obvious huff from Zoisite, as he tries to think of a witty remark to respond with. As he does this, he twirls his hair around his finger-  he may not have his revenge now, but just you wait! The twirling stops, and he settles for pinching it in his fingers. 

“You’re telling me. Dealing with you can be straining. Can’t we agree to disagree?”

He didn’t understand why they had to bicker about everything. Besides, shouldn’t Nephrite be mature and act more his age, or something?

          “Dude, that is so true! Like, for instance, I give out some excellent advice. I don’t know why ol’ Mars got so fired up when I gave her some of my advise yesterday? My plan was brilliant. It would’ve worked! But no, it was too risky or whatever. I guess some people out there only believe that good advice comes from…”

          She suddenly cleared her throat, her expression sobering up for just one second before returning to her usual cocky smirk. “So, man, what’s your dose of wisdom?”
