"You ready?" Monika's voice beamed all over the room as she called for you. She smiled when she heard your hurried steps. You gave her a smile when she took your bag to carry it for you, "are you sure about this?" You carefully asked, worried about going together to the studio because of the fear of the fans seeing as both of you wanted to keep your relationship private.
"Yes honey, let's go." She squeezed your hands, leading you to her car. The car was filled with calm atmosphere as you both jammed to the music. Both having a good time dancing and singing the words to the song while on the road.
"I'll text Yuri and let the crew know we're here." You informed her when the car stopped in front of the studio. Monika just rubbed your thighs as she watched you click on your phone.
After a few minutes, you both heard laughters and voices of your girls. That's the signal that you both waited. "Good luck darling." She whispered lovingly, caressing your face as you rubbed her hand that is on your thigh. You lean in for a soft and passionate good luck kiss before stepping out the car.
"Unnies!" Their enthusiasm was welcomed by both of you. You gave the four of them a hug, and Monika doing the same as they all became close with her through you. The crew had a few small talk with Monika before she parted ways.
VivaDiva has been going strong eversince you created this crew. With your charismatic dance moves and versatility, you manage to captivate your audience. On top of that, your stage presence left the audience in awe. Your popularity was undeniable.
And there was also no denying at the fact that you are very attractive. And you attract people easily. Your qualities can be also seen in your crew. Lily, Yuri, Nari, and Minji. These girls also made their name in the dancing community. There was so denying that your crew was one for the look out.
With you being their leader, you always help them and offer the support that they need. You would cater to their needs like a mother. And your crew does the same for you. They would always support you and that's one of the reasons why this crew is strong.
As you and your crew descended to the stairs, the tension arises. Your presence is certainly felt, like it was always the first time.
The crews were preparing and finalizing for the Battle. Watching other crews rehearse and checks, but during those times. Monika can't help but noticed how almost everyone tried to get even bits of your attention. She would always notice how the other crews' members tried to talk to you or have you notice them.
It doesn't help that when they are dancing or performing to their assigned task, they would find a way to make eye contact with you or wink at you. But like always, you would give them a polite smile. Knowing that your blush was only for your girlfriend.
But one of the more determined one is Funky Y, knowing who she is, you also happen to recognize her because of her talent and she was someone you could talk to about being a leader. But Monika notices her hidden motives as it is not that hard to distinguish and she knows how attractive and talented her girl is.
But she still can't help but feel jealous. She hated feeling like this. But she chose not to make a scene about it because of her role in this competition. She just observe silently, but she doesn't realize how her jealousy is building up.
After the rehearsal, it was time for the battle. And the crews were given the chance to choose who to battle. And when it's Funky Y's turn.
"Who would you choose to battle with?" The MC, Daniel asked the blonde. She look around the studio until her eyes stopped at you. You did not falter and held eye contact with her. Your crew exclaim happily when you're chosen. They wanna see you battle.
As the song started playing. The moves were thrown out in a rhythmic battle between two known names. You two were different and the audience are going nuts because of how insane your body moves to the rhythm. It was mesmerizing and addictive.
During a tense dance battle between the you and Funky Y, Monika's impartiality wavered. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy as she watched you both battle, the other judges nod in approval of the your performance. And it was all decided when the three judges raised your card. All of them taking turns to explain why they the winner. When it was Monika's turn to critique, Monika's words were unusually harsh towards Funky Y.
"You may have the looks and the moves, but dance is more than just that," Monika critiqued, her tone laced with resentment. "You need to dig deeper, show more variety, and remember that dance is an art, not just a show."
The audience fell silent, all of them taking Monika's words in. And you couldn't help but look at her in question. Funky Y also did great.
When Monika realizes her words, she ended it in a good note. Sighing as she watch you take your seat with your crew. Once the shoot ended, you find her.
"Monika, we need to talk," you said, your voice
soft yet determined. You took Monika's hands. Your other hand caressing her as you completely noticed how she's been acting. And her snapping at Funky Y was the confirmation.
