Hey, no problem! I enjoy hearing other people’s experiences with the team and 1988 so I figure people will maybe like mine too. And as for Patrick he’s both super adorable in person and also beautiful. It’s overwhelming. I’m always impressed with people who can, like, have a regular conversation with him because I’m such a goober and am barely able to spit out more than three words.

In your reblogged gifset, why are Finns required to speak Swedish? Is it like for Americans with Spanish or English classes? :0

Finland is a bilingual country and Swedish is our other official language so it’s a mandatory school subject. We start to learn Swedish during 7th grade when we’re 13-14 years old. We have a long history with Sweden as we used to be part of it for a loooong time many many years ago before we became part of Russia and after that independent. During our history Swedish has actually been the main language until Finnish took over. Most of us are native Finnish speakers but there’s a minority who have Swedish as their mother tongue and some areas are more bilingual than others.
