Saith: so...it's the end of Gen 7. What a mess it has been. I really thought it was going to be about witchcraft...
Vivi: it kind of was about a witch, wasn’t it?
Sev: you mean Hilda? I don’t think witch is exactly the word...Anyway, let’s toast! To Gen 7!
Saith: I’ll drink to that!
After the funeral the boys go out to grab a bite with their cousins, Jeff, Alec and Vivi. They catch up and learn that Alec’s twins (Chiyo and Daiki) are already teenagers, that Jeff and Misha have a boy named Oliver who’s about a year younger than Octavia, and that Vivi is now Vivi Stevenson. She married an older man and they have a son called Finn.
Jeff: so guys...when are you gonna tell us where you are? Don’t tell me it’s Batuu because we’re not visiting there.
Saith: I don’t know...I honestly don’t know if we’re out of the woods yet.
Alec: c’mon it’s been AGES and that psycho has never even tried to contact any of us. For all we know she’s moved on with her life.
Sev: I guess he’s right. Okay...we’ll give you a hint. There’s a lot of cows and wildlife there.
Vivi: lowpoly or high poly?
Saith: high poly!
Vivi: I guess we can rule out Brindleton Bay with those 2D cows then.
Sev: So I want to thank my brother for finally admitting it: I'm the best man! It only took him 60 years! Buy, hey, Saith's not known for making the quickest decisions, right Meg?
Later that day, Jeff and Misha tied the knot. It was a backyard wedding in Evergreen Harbor and everyone was invited. Of course Alec, Sev and Saith were the groomsmen.
All the Laceys attended, even ACDC’s family from Sulani!
Saith: cousin Vivi! How’s high school going?
Vivi: high school?! I’m a young adult! I hate this family
The family got to Old Cindertown that evening for Dem’s funeral.
Six: I’m so sorry Mariah...
Mariah: I’m sorry too, I know how close you two were...thanks for coming.
Dinner time
Saith: so Vivi, are you enjoying the Sulani life?
Vivi: yes, it’s nice and grams says she’s very happy to have running water again.
Sev: a word of advice, don’t trust the merpeople...they are evil.
Jeff: and if you kiss them you’ll breath will stink of fish forever, right Sev?
