hello!! I saw your post with your soundcloud tracks. They're absolutely stunning. I actually picked up FL Studio a week ago and I've been messing around with it every day; and I wanted to ask for some tips? So far, I only make piano-based compositions. What do you make first in a track? Melody/beat? Do you brainstorm?? Just curious -- Only respond if you have time!! Thanks :- )

Well, I'm not really formally trained in musical composition, most of what I know comes from playing an instrument in middle and high school, and basic chord progression studies. 

I don't really have a set process for doing it, sometimes the melody comes first (usually after a long time trying to come up with it), other times I build a melody off a chord progression. There really is no set way, one day one thing works, and the next it doesn't. For example, in those tracks you’re talking about, it took me like 5 hours just to come up with a melody that I thought was good. Once I came up with it, the rest came out pretty naturally. 

I do however think you should really start with the speed/time your piece is going to have. Also, listen to A LOT of music, especially the kind you want to write.

WELL I really like sheik (oot) and impa (hw/ss/oot) a whole bunch. the sheikah race in general really interests me and i'd like for it to be explored more in future games!!!! cus right now we don't know too much and there's so much mystery about them.

NABOORU (oot) IS ALSO A REALLY BIG FAVE and i want more gerudo in future games also. i love the gerudo so much they're super interesting???? i'm really hopeful that there'll be more of them in Zelda U since they really deserve more background / lore / culture building. why nabooru wasn't an extra character added in the ganon dlc for hw i have no idea and im super mad about this tbh. shE WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT FOR HW I DONT UNDERSTAND

medli and komali (ww) are some of my big faves too because adorable birb children??? i love them so much they're so cute and their designnnsss. thEY ALSO BELONG TO ANOTHER RACE THAT I WANNA SEE MORE OF PLEASE NINTENDO

and then there's volga (hw), navi, ruto, malon and saria (oot), midna and colin (tp), king daphnes and makar (ww), and groose (ss) who i have big soft spots for also!
