This has been a rather slow year for me on the AMV front and for that I apologize. I had all these big plans for new comedy videos for Otakon and such, and then I got a job in the industry, had to move back to LA and lost about half of my year (not that I am complaining lol ). I really wanted to get my act together for AWA Pro though, and so I made this video in a few weeks.

Unfortunately I ran out of time and the version I submitted to Pro was a little less polished than I wanted it to be. But as soon as I got back I cleaned it up. And that's the version you see here.

I really wanted to try tackling the romance genre again as I was unhappy with what I achieved with Maybe. Since this was the first AMV I have done in premiere that hasn't been under a crazy tight deadline I really wanted to explore the dynamic link between Premiere and After Effects, and experiment with motion and FXs to find the perfect balance between too crazy and just crazy enough. I think I succeeded and I am really proud of this video as a whole.

I am sorry about the watermark, but due to the circumstances of people grabbing my video off of YouTube the day after it's uploaded and reuploading it, all future YT uploads will be watermarked. If you have a legit Re-Upload channel and would like to post my video, please ask me and I will give you a download link, provided you credit me adequately. I also will not be putting AMV.org downloads in the description anymore -- mainly because that was why Not Literally Productions went after my copy of Ship Happens.

HELP ME BRING BACK SHIP HAPPENS!

As Some of you know last week my AMV Ship Happens, was taken down from Youtube as well asAMV.org as the owner of the song, Not Literally Productions, exercised their copyright on their song "I Ship It", a parody of Icona Pop's "I Love It" They claimed that my AMV had stolen their song, and was not given rights by them to use their song in such a way. While I personally belive my work was transformative and under fair use, youtube took my video down.

I sent the creators of the song an email abouta week ago, and while my email was read it was not replied to. They themselves are a youtube channel that promotes fun, geeky and parody content, that creates transformative works off of popular songs and IPs such as Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games and more. And while they have provisions on their site (see here and here) for creators to use their stuff they still manually went after my video.

I will be disputing this on youtube, but I would rather work this out with the creators personally.However it's really hard to do so when they won't even give me the time of day

My Newest AMV - "Maybe" is here!  I started this AMV in 2012 when I finished this anime and Call me Maybe was a thing. However literally everyone and their mothers was editing with this song. And even though I wanted to use a cover I thought people would hate the video simply because by that point everyone was really sick of it. So I put it away in my graveyard of dead betas.  However this year I wanted to finish something for Valentines Day, and I stumbled upon this beta again. I love this cover of the song. I think it takes Carly Rae's cutesie classic and makes it really romantic and intimate.  I think it really fits this pair - and if you have watched the anime I think you would agree. If you haven't seen it I hope this AMV inspires you to watch it. It's one of the best shoujo's I have seen and the love story between these two is really sweet and real. Also gonna plug the artist who sings this song Paradise Fears. They are quite good and ya'll should give them love. I wanted to try lots of new stuff with this video -- mainly some effects that could verge on "Candy" style. I did some things I am really proud of and learned lots of new stuff. Maybe someday in the future I'll make something that takes these effects a little further. This AMV is for a special someone ^^ Happy Valentine's my dear!
