‘Well,” Kekipi started, reaching out to take his hand gently. “Only if you want to. You know I’ll listen,” she says, slightly canting her head as she looked at him. “Please? It’ll make you feel better.”

Her steps were wide and fearless as she walked away from the man who’d made her life hell for the past two years. Finally, she had to courage to do it, to turn her back to him and flee, without care for if he chasing after her (though if he did, she’d be ready for another round of insults and name-calling). And Kit was so proud, she didn’t register the other man, right in front of her and coming nearer to her line of stride. So of course, she almost walked into him but stopped short and with a gasp, looking up at his face.
“Sorry, wasn’t really paying attention to where I was going.....sorry”.

The sun peaked through the window at just the right angle to cause her to stir. It was a very light movement along with a deep sigh. It had been a long time since she had slept this comfortably and this late. “--time is it?” It was half of a question and barely audible as she turned a little more.
She could almost feel his gaze as it danced along her body. She reached up to push messy blonde locks out of her face before finally deciding to open her eyes. When her grey eyes met his, a small smile tugged at the edges of her lips. She was not known to just crawl into bed with someone and it had certainly been a very long time since she had woken up next to someone. “I think we may have drank just a little to much wine last night...” She laughed gently, tugging the sheet up around her chest.
The Nurse and the Inmate (Duncan)
vizlla
This was meant to be a quiet undercover job but fate had other plans. Word after word and the argument became heated then turned into a brawl. Inmates collided into a wave of chaotic destruction. The guards were quick enough to stop it all from getting completely out of hand. Eventually everyone calmed down and scattered all around the prison to lick their wounds.
Duncan got caught in the midst of the fight. He knew that he shouldn’t have answered back to the inmate, who thought he owned the damn place, then the fight could have been avoided. However, here Duncan was, sitting on a stool. He exhaled slowly before looking up at the approaching stranger.
“What?” but it was a nurse. “Oh…err,” he paused before adding. “Just the head and this side,” explained Duncan as he flexed his left arm. “Nothin’ for you to worry about. Think they loved there need medical attention.”
There was a hint of a smile on her face as the inmate talked. There were other nurses and she had ended up with this inmate because the others were getting lippy with her. There were time where she made her accent thicker on purpose, just so that she could get smart with the inmates when they were rude to her.
“’Tis better safe and sorry, I have heard that many times growing up.” She answers him as she looks at his head, making sure it wasn’t bleeding or anything. “The other nurses can take care of them, they get too mouthy sometimes.” It was probably because they have been away from women since being in here. She is usually really tense when it comes to working here, even with the guards watching. “You might feel ok, but there might be something wrong with your head. Did you get hit hard?”

“It’s no problem,” the teen smiled rather shyly as the man accepted the house warming gift, eyes drawn to ratty old canvas shoes he’s wearing. The kid looked uncomfortable to be there, although he lingered as though hoping that the new neighbour would be a bit more chatty than quiet.
“My dad’s, he’s, uh. Well, he’s not my real dad, per se. He adopted me from the orphanage he works in as a caregiver,” he said. “He’s always busy though, so I’m often by myself at home. He also meal-preps a lot, so I always got food and snacks even when he’s having late nights.” Tomas was not sure of what to expect from telling Mr Duncan all this, but he felt like it was a step into getting to know the new neighbour better.

“I read a lot,” Tomas replied simply. He picks up his camera, snapping photos away of the ducks nibbling on the bread crumbs floating in the water. “You’d find a lot of interesting books in the school library, when you dig deep enough. Wildlife textbooks are not so popular, compared to the odd rack of romance novels that finds their way in. Have you ever tasted duck meat before? I’ve never. I do know it takes a long time to cook until tender, thus making it expensive,”
Ohhh happy birthday sweet! I hope you had a spectacular day! ^^

I’m kinda bummed, because 1) I had the most stressful day at work and it was on my birthday, 2) not only was SunFest RainFest, but I ended up catching cold because of it and 3) I’m not going to be able to go to the family dinner, because I’m way too fucking sick to even go outside. So I’m just gonna chill and take it easy and write my fucking heart out.
But thanks for sending this message, it could’ve been loads better, but all in all, I get to do what I like to do anyways lmao.

“A possible gang fight,” the caregiver says simply. “It’s news like these makes me worry for the kids. I know that the older kids are looking after the younger ones, even in school, but that worry is still there.” He sighs, sipping on his cup of coffee. It’s quiet in the manor today, as the children has gone to school. The sprinklers are switched on outside in the gardens, giving them a soft white noise among the quietness. “Doesn’t it frighten you, Mr Duncan?”
