Kaname is not deeply "flawed" He is complex. If he was a sinner, he was a saint as well but your choice of words push him in the negative. He left yuuki due to misunderstanding. I won't even bother yall but your misleading posts which I came across were too much negative bullshit against him. The plot scapegoats him because hino sees kaname as collateral damage for her love triangle for her selfish self insert yuuki.
Again I am not trying to convince you. I simply cannot ignore the siren call of replying to this.
Kaname is complex AND deeply flawed.
Deep Flaw #1: Whether Yuuki is his sister or great granddaughter and no matter his justifications, he instigated and participated in an incestuous relationship with her. He groomed her since she was 5.
Deep Flaw #2: He canonically attempts genocide. 10,000 years ago he pledged to kill bad purebloods who engaged in murder and slavery etc. But towards the end of VK, he actively makes a choice to kill ALL purebloods indiscriminately (innocent included) because he thinks it's the only solution.
That's why Yuuki is the hero. She believes purebloods including herself, have a choice to live and do good, and shouldn't be killed based on their being. That's why Kaname loves her, because she still has hope for their doomed race. But he chooses murder. He chooses genocide. Yuuki actively tries to stop him. The Vampire Hunters, the in world vampire police, try to stop him because he is wrong. And he knows he's wrong. There is no misunderstanding, he knows exactly what he is doing.
If you don't like my posts, then don't interact with me! It's that simple. I didn't make them to hurt you or anyone who likes Kaname. I post for myself. I try to be very respectful in my interactions with everyone in this fandom. You have your opinions and I have mine and I think it's clear that we are firm in them, so let's stop trying to convince each other.
The author wrote him like this. She made a lot of confusing and bad choices (LIKE INCEST, MULTIPLE TIMES). Again if Kaname wasn't incestuous, genocidal, etc. I might like him a lot better. But that is canon, unfortunately.
