#ANNOUNCEMENT : The Virgin Labfest 13 is now open for script submissions! The Virgin Labfest is an annual festival of unpublished, unstaged, untried and untested works for the theater held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). This festival is a partnership project of the The Writer's Bloc Inc., Tanghalang Pilipino Inc. and the #CCP. For 2017, submissions are requested for one-act plays or short plays with an maximum estimated running time of forty (40) minutes. All submissions must NOT have been: (1) published in book form; (2) staged commercially for more than two performances (staged readings and one-time workshop productions are allowed); and (3) given any literary or drama recognition in competitions and the like. Entries may be in Filipino, English, Cebuano, Hiligaynon or Ilokano. All Cebuano, Hiligaynon and Ilokano entries must have an accompanying translation. The #festival is open to various themes and genres. The deadline for submission of plays is FEBRUARY 28, 2017.
