Yes…, I (Vll) am embarrassed to post about me and my husband (Claudinei Monteiro) when we went to a Medieval themed restaurant this Saturday. My dad says I look like a character from The Name of the Rose. I got a 5% discount for being in character. Hahahaha... Yes, I've been married for 21 years. Yes, I've never talked about it before. I welcome (constructive) criticism/opinions regarding my costumes. What can I fix and what is wrong… This costume was made entirely by hand by myself, following the same methods used in the Middle Ages, including the types of fabrics (which were not easy to find in my country, and I don't have the purchasing power/money to order from other countries. If it was already very expensive here, imagine importing it). My idea came years ago when I was still studying Medieval paleography, when I found an illumination of a peasant woman (whose clothing I liked). I also received a lot of informational help from people in other countries, such as Rosalie Gilbert - Rosalies Medieval Woman herself, among others [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]..., and more (several) others... I haven't had my costumes judged yet to see how close to the real thing they are, but I'm already working on that.
