The famous Blacksheep squadron VMA-214 from the days of Pappy Boyington in WW2 is now flying the AV-8B+ Harrier jump jets. VMA214 is currently base in MCAS Yuma m AZ. The current AV-8B have gone to a dark colored camouflage scheme as shown in the jet illustrated below.
We were fortunate to catch a single AV-8B+ flying in Mecheam Field in Ft worth. He was caught tearing up the runway doing touch and goes.
