I think it’s very important that we acknowledge that not only did kanye apologise to taylor about the whole vmas 2009 thing but he also questioned why on earth he wore a leather tshirt..... that was gold... let’s think about that for a second
after presenting in class
me: Back to this bitch who made me do this speech, Mr what's good

Miley, what's good?
My VMA Wrap Up
I actually didn’t get the chance to see all of the VMAS, but I saw most of it and the countless videos online have pretty much summed it up for me and now I want to give you guys my opinion on what went down.
Kanye West: Okay, now before you start crapping all over Kanye, can we look at this for a second? Yes, he has made some mistakes and bad decisions, but I think that is what makes him such a fascinating figure in the public eye. I thought last night he owned his mistakes in an incredibly powerful speech where he stated that he will be running for president in 2020. He talked about youth activism, self love, and living unapologetically. Those points alone are reasons that I support him and think he would make a great leader.
Miley Cyrus: Let me just say that I really admire this girl’s confidence. You guys can judge her all you want, but I don’t think you realize how much courage it takes to fight for what you believe in especially on such a large scale when you are known for your mistakes. She did flash her nipple, but I do not understand why that is such bad thing. Did you expect her to act lady like? And honestly who cares? Shouldn’t we live in a society that accepts women’s bodies and doesn't treat them like diseases never to be shown? Men can take their shirt off anywhere at anytime, so why is it so different for girls. Did I say different? I meant sexist and I think Miley is doing a great job breaking that barrier.
Justin Bieber: I honestly don’t have much to say about this one, but I do not think Justin planned to cry like that at the end of his performance. I think he was just purely happy to, after all of this madness for the last three years be treated like a human and not a punching bag. Like Kanye, he has made some mistakes, but can we think about the fact that he is trying to be a better person? That takes guts.
Those were just some of my thoughts. I have a lot more about the fan bases, but I just could not go into that. The amount of attacking that went on through social media was unbearable and I feel like as a generation we need to learn to accept each other and anyone in the pubic eye. Overall, I thought the VMAS were very controversial with some bad points, but also some great ones that I thought really made history.
