Ok, here we finally are… This is a post I’ve struggled with for months now, and because Vmin just keep coming out with wonderful moments it gets harder and harder for me to answer this. I got an ask about this and now I AM FINALLY DOING IT!
There are so many Vmin moments, big and small, that I love for various reasons so in this list I basically chose moments I can’t stop thinking about and that has also left a huge impact on both me and probably the whole Vmin community.
That being said, the order is not 100% set in stone I probably forgot something and really I could make a top 100 and still miss out on some lovely favorite moments. But I tried and this is what I got. I hope you enjoy. <3
Honorable mention - “I only have you”
Starting with and honorable mention is a classic, the “Let’s keep going for a long time, you’re the only one” tweet. How can I not include it when it symbolized just how special Vmin are to each other? It was also the very first tweet that made me raise my eyebrows and start wondering about Vmin’s bond on a more analytical level.
Nr. 5 - The comic café date
Now, I went with this one as a sort of representative of all the cuddly and touchy Vmin moments, because there are sooo many. But the relaxed nature of it, how natural it seemed and Jimin getting flustered at the end just gets to me. It also shows domestic Vmin perfectly, with the conversation and teasing. Seriously, I think something all of these moments have in common is that they in one way or another somehow managed to shock me in some way, despite being a Vmin fan for years, and I think that says a lot.
I still can’t believe the “ISAC spanking” is a thing that happened. I remember that day because I was free, and I just sat and got new moments after moments as people updated about ISAC. I was basically in shock that they after the sole amount of Vmin we got. But I can’t just say “ISAC 2017” because that would include at least 20 different moments, so I have to go with the spanking. You can tell Jimin wanted to rile Tae up, he knew what was happening and he loved it. He even threw the bottle again after Tae already went at it the first time with the choking... I mean, he basically asked for more which lead to the incredibly intense spanking. I am still not sure how they did this in front of the whole world.
All of the moments on this list were really difficult to pick out, but I just can’t help picking this one. It’s one of my own first Vmin moments that really made me fall hard. How could I not with them being this clingy basically all the time? It might not be a huge thing or moment, but again this one holds a bit of a personal meaning, and it also showed the peak of Vmin touchiness. Seriously during the BST era they could hardly keep their hands off each other. They also looked incredibly good, so sue me for being biased towards this era.
Nr. 2 - Jimin running to comfort Tae
I mean, Vmin in Malta sure was on a whole other level. The clinginess from Jimin and the comfort and the hand holding and everything we got to see was just lovely. I still can’t believe half of those things actually exists on video. But I can’t pick “Vmin in Malta” as one whole moment, though I would have loved to. So I had to go with Jimin getting called by their staff, running up to Taehyung, his baby and hugging him tightly. Jimin’s comfort and him drying Taehyung’s tears is basically actual proof of all the things we already knew about Vmin through things they had said. It’s super private so I feel a bit conflicted that they decided to include it, but I can’t help but love it all the same. I am so glad that they have each other.
Nr. 1 - Taehyung’ s letter. I mean how can I not pick this one as number one? Not only does it show just how much Vmin mean to each other, but it also gives us small stories and insights into their relationship. The way they talked about it after also showed how special they are to each other, how no one else not even their members would understand all the feelings that went into that letter. It’s iconic and heart-warming and just plain wonderful. It’s proof of how much they have taken care of each other and how their love means everything to Taehyung. I will never forget it, and it still makes me tear up when I re-watch it.
Phew, that was really difficult and I know for sure that some of these moments might seem a bit “small” compared to others that I didn’t include. But it really was extremely difficult to pick. I mean, I could have picked at least 3 other moments from Bon Voyage alone. And there are so many other things with them I could have picked, like them comforting each other, calling each other soulmates, their vlives, Tae calling Jimin is one and only best friend or just the two of them being damn cute together, the list could really go on forever. Still, I hope you found this fun because it was really fun making it, even if it was really hard.
