“How are you so perfect?” Andi wipes a stray tear from her cheek, then continues with a smile, “You’re so beautiful that I can’t believe you’re real…but you are. You’re here, right in front of me, and I want you so badly. I need to taste you right now–”
Andi licks her lips, “I’ve been waiting all my life for you. I can’t wait–”
“Andi, eat the cupcake before I eat it for you.”
Andi turns to her wife with a pout, “But look at it! It’s so cute! It’s a taro kitty cupcake! Do you know how long I’ve been wanting to try these?!”
“You didn’t even know they existed until a couple hours ago,” MC shakes her head fondly.
“So?” Andi leans against MC, “That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been a kitty cupcake-shaped hole in my life ‘til now.”
MC wraps her arm around Andi’s shoulders and levitates the cupcake in front of Andi.
“Close your eyes and say 'ah’,” MC teases.
“Someone likes being bossy,” Andi grumbles, but follows MC’s instructions anyways, “You’re going to make a me–mm!”
Andi tastes strawberries—MC’s cupcake flavor—as soft lips press against hers. MC doesn’t stay gentle for long. She teases Andi with her tongue and teeth, moaning when Andi playfully zaps her in return.
“Not that I’m complaining, but what was that for?”
“Well…” MC lowers her voice and pulls Andi into her lap, “You’re here, right in front of me–”
MC kisses Andi’s collarbone.
“–and I want you so badly–”
Her lips travel up soft skin, and Andi gasps when MC gently nips her throat.
“–and I need to taste you right now.”
Andi whines when MC pulls back, “MC…I–”
Andi closes her eyes to kiss MC properly, only to feel something cold smear across her face. Andi licks her lips.
Strawberries.
MC laughs and pulls out her phone to take a quick photo, “Oh, babe. You’re so cute.”
Andi pouts, “Now I’m all sticky.”
“I can help with that,” MC playfully licks some frosting off of Andi’s cheek, “Yum.”
“My cupcake…”
“It’s safe,” MC floats it into her hand, “I wouldn’t do that to you.”
Andi makes grabby hands, and MC hands the cupcake over with a chuckle.
“Yessss, you do love me!” Andi cheers.
MC watches Andi scarf down her cupcake with glee.
“If fo gud!” Andi swallows, then grins with stained teeth, “I can taste the purple!”
MC kisses her, “Hmm. Just tastes like Andi to me.”
“Of course! I taste purple too!” Andi holds a tiny spark between her fingers, “See?”
“You’re ridiculous.”
Andi just keeps grinning.
“God, I love you,” MC pulls Andi in for a longer kiss, ignoring how the frosting smears along their cheeks.
“Yeah?” Andi asks playfully, “Is that why you married me?”
MC flushes—they both still get a little giddy when they remember that they’re married, “That might have had something to do with it.”
This time it’s Andi pulling MC in for another kiss—the frosting is starting to get into their hair and clothes—dropping the remnants of her cupcake so she can hold MC’s face with both hands.
“I love you. I love you so fucking much,” the words spill out of Andi’s mouth like she’s been holding onto them for too long, “You–”
Andi can’t help but kiss MC again, and again, and again.
“–You’re the best thing to ever happen to me,” Andi pants, “You know that, right?”
MC blushes all the way to her ears. The openness of Andi’s expression, the earnesty in her voice—all of it makes her heart swell with happiness.
“You too, Andi,” MC locks eyes with Andi, “I–When I think about my life, there’s a clear cut between pre- and post-Andi.”
MC laughs, “There were literal sparks when we met, y'know?”
Andi giggles, “Yeah, I, um. When you bumped into me, I got flustered over how cute you are and let my control slip.”
“Really?!” MC gapes, “I couldn’t tell at all!”
“Well, yeah,” Andi shrugs, “I tried to hide everything back then, remember?”
She continues with a wry smile, “Before we got together for real, I spent so much energy trying to play it cool.”
“But look at how much you’ve grown now, babe,” MC takes Andi’s hands in hers, “I love that. I love you. I love how much we’ve grown together and how much we’ll keep growing together.”
“You’re right,” Andi gives MC a chaste kiss, “Can New Andi tell you something?”
“Sure,” MC smiles gently.
“I really do think I’ve been waiting all my life for you,” Andi says seriously, “There’s always been an MC-shaped spot in my heart, waiting to be filled by you.”
MC tears up a little, “Andi–”
“Also… ”
Andi presses her forehead to MC’s. Their breaths—sweetly scented with sugar—intermingle so closely they can almost taste each other.
“Last one to the shower is a rotten egg!”
Andi leaps off of her wife's—her wife!—lap and sprints towards the bathroom.
