10 Magic Vocal Lessons From Bruno Mars
10 Magic Vocal Lessons From Bruno Mars
Music is an almost infinite desert where there is no truth. Every person is a world and as they say, about tastes there is nothing written. To all this, there is evidence that we can not underestimate and one of them is the unquestionable artistic quality of which for many it is the most complete artist of the world, Bruno Mars.

AKB48center – Flying Get || Vocal Lesson
In middle of about 30 other persons Hiroomi was quiet nervous then this time it came to one of his weakest points, vocal lesson at AKB48center. He wasn’t that lucky to be a good singer he never was a fan of singing that maybe would be a problem now. But because the blonde tall guy wasn’t someone to give up to easily he decides to practice at the vocal lesson to build up his vocal skills. About 25 minutes he learned the song and could remember most of it. Although he sometimes had his problem to remember the perfect vocal colour some of the instructors showed him. All around him ever more less good singers and a lot of bad singers. And he knows that he was a part of the bad ones too. Taking a deep breath and start to sing the sing again in a more quiet voice then he normally has.
FURAINGU GETTO boku wa hitoashi saki ni kimi no kimochi ima sugu te ni ireyou ka FURAINGU GETTO nani ka iwareru mae ni kokoro no uchi BIBITTO
Lucky him there was a girl next to him her voice was very string but gentle. She always looked at Hiroomi with a cute smile on her lips. Hiroomi was a bit embarrassed about how bad he was at singing but because he got nuts, Omi turned to the girl and faced her. “Ano? Ma… well may you could help me with the song please?” his charming smile showed off his dimple and the girls agreed to help him. That girl was really surprised about Hiroomi’s husky voice and together with her strong and gently voice it was a good match. The instructor was more then impressed by the sudden change of the blonde guys singing style and that he was able to remember the whole song. The cute girl next to Hiroomi was a pretty good teacher and Omi was more then blessed that she helped him. After some more time to practice the guys had to line up and step in front to perform what they had learned today. As it was time for Hiroomi’s turn he bowed to the girl and she wished him luck. Before Omi started to sing he shut his eyes for a short moment and took a deep breath inside.
kimi ga boku ni koi wo koi wo shiteru no wa teppan FURAINGU GETTO dakara dare yori hayaku kimi no HAATO no subete boku no mono suki da kara RABU.FURAGE!
His voice was pretty powerful and more memorable then before.
Voice Lesson 2: Joy doth wait...
I have a sort of strange problem when I’m singing, and that’s my issue with being able to understand and implement corrections. So much of singing is internal and aural. It’s not like piano where the issue is fixed in a way that can be seen and adjusted physically. Singing is so much about feeling and sensation and listening to yourself.
I frequently feel like I’m at the eye doctor and he’s testing different lenses. “Does one look better? Or two?” and I honestly can’t tell the difference. It’s like that when I’m singing sometimes. Particularly with vowel placement. My teacher will give a correction and I’ll try about six different ways to fix it until he’s like, “Yes! That’s it.” And I just look him in the face and say, “I couldn’t tell the difference between any of them.”
Maybe it’s something my ear just needs to be trained for. One of my major weaknesses is being able to listen critically to myself with no outside context (such as an ensemble to blend with ect). It’s just embarrassing, to be honest.
But that aside, my teacher is happy with my progress. I hear tell I’m getting new vocal rep soon. I wonder what he has in store...
Hi Christine! I'm going to have my first voice lesson soon and I'm kind of nervous about it. What should I expect at my lesson?
I know it can be a nerve-wracking experience, but just try to remember that it’s all for you! It’s all about furthering your journey, helping you overcome obstacles in your voice, growing and strengthening your voice... How fun is that! So when it comes down to it, it’s all for you! That may seem like a lot of pressure, but just try to remember that it’s a slow and steady process, so no need to try and rush your work!
Generally, teachers will talk to you a bit in your first lesson and learn some things about you. They may ask what songs you like to sing, what your vocal range is (or test your range), ask what voice type you think you are, what your experience is, etc. It gives us a chance to figure out where you are! I actually like to have my students bring in a song to sing for the first day that they love to sing, just so that we can have something fun to begin with. It loosens them up, and I get to hear something they feel very comfortable singing! That first day is all about learning your process and where you’re at, though, so that you and your teacher can make a plan of action!
I hope that helps! Have fun!
Can anyone give me any advice on...
Screaming/Growling whatever you want to call it? Keen to add a little bit to my vocals to give it some excitement! Any way hit me up if you have some advice :)
