Jaller sat in his chair, he felt a bit emptied out. The sensation was caused by finding homes for most of his Hahnah crabs, who were no longer babies. The house felt a bit roomier, but he didn’t know at what cost.
He still had Ta, Hu, Ja, Ha, Ku, Oni, and about 10 others who he still hadn’t named yet. The Toa of Fire looked down at his remaining young Hahnah crabs. He had not known most of the crabs he had given away that well, some were given homes at a young age, and some he had just not interacted with quite as much as the crabs he currently had with him. Jaller felt sorry for his remaining crabs because they might have known some of the other crabs better than he did.
Jaller sighed, thinking about how many living, breathing beings he had just given away, thinking about how they must’ve felt.
‘They’re probably fine,’ Jaller thought, ‘they could even be having a much better time in their new homes than they were here, depending on their circumstances.’
The Toa of Fire was hunched over at his desk, thinking about how much he missed those crabs.
Suddenly, Hahnah, the mother of the young crabs and a no-longer-baby Vohtarak named Aki both clicked and chirped to get Jaller’s attention. Jaller did as he was told and turned his attention onto them.
“Hey...” Jaller morosely said.
The mother Hahnah and young Vohtarak skittered over and leaped onto the young Toa of Fire, licking him. The young Hahnah crabs joined as well, completely coating him.
Jaller laughed softly, remembering the crabs and Visorak were there for him for however long they will be.
