I will be one year on T next month and I am regretting not filming a voice progression. I started T right when those "cringe" TikTok videos were super popular and I didn't want to be "that trans guy." Ugh, my anxiety got me good y'all.

My voice is great these days though. I'm still getting used to the new notes I can sing and how to sing the right notes. However as someone who has always loved singing, it is so exciting and freeing to be able to sing and hear myself and love the way I sound.

I missed week 5, but seeing this progress makes me so HAPPY. I have so much pride and gratitude for these past few weeks. None of it would’ve been possible without the support of my friends, family and God 🙏🏼 bless up 😭🙌🏼💜

Voice progression

I can feel my voice lowering. Not quickly, and not as much as I'd like it to, but it is. This time last year I couldn't sing a low E (below middle C) and could only just hit a low F. I know this because I had to put Frank Turner's song Rivers up two keys if I wanted to be able to sing it comfortably (the lowest he hits is an E in the original key). However, end of this year I can sing Rivers quite comfortably in the original key and today I even hit a low D a couple of times without being horribly out of tune. I can sing low Eb as well fairly easily. This means I'm close to being in the tenor range (which goes from an octave below middle C to the A above middle C - I think, I may be wrong). I only need to drop two more notes and then I'll be able to sing tenor range. I should point out that I'm pre T as well. Holy shit.
